A 30-year-old New York State man aboard the Hondius cruise ship is quarantined at Nebraska's National Quarantine Unit after exposure to the Andes virus strain. The cruise, which departed southern Argentina, saw up to 11 people contract hantavirus, including three deaths: a Dutch passenger who died aboard April 11, his wife en route to the Netherlands, and a German national on May 2. All 18 American passengers were flown to Omaha for isolation.
